A quantum leap in expanding our capacity for Recycling, Refurbishment and Repurposing

Lancaster Men’s Hub, Registered Charity No, 1196670, has been successful in bidding for a grant of £10,000 towards a project to increase the opening hours of its Workshop and to make its facilities available to other voluntary groups and individuals. Our members will provide training to help others to safely use the machinery.  Some assembly and decorating works will be transferred to the Studio in order to provide more space in the workshop. We want to reduce pre-loved items going to landfill by expanding our output of refurbished furniture restoring them to their former glory.

We have recently been given a 3 D printer that we are keen to make use of and we want to use some of the grant to purchase a good quality second hand laser cutter/engraver that can be used on wood, metal and other crafting materials to add value to the items that we make.
