Our first ever elevenses was an amazing success based upon the feedback from all who attended. A flood in the flat above The Cornerstone meant that the room normally used by The Band of Brothers (BOB) was unavailable and LMH and BOB decided to share the foyer in The Cornerstone and make it a combined event. This proved to be a great success with many new guests attending together with a good number of the BOB members and people chatted, played games, read newspapers, kindly provided by Chris Englefield, and drank tea, coffee and ate cakes and biscuits, kindly provided by John Strivens, Simon Stewart and David Smith. The event went on well past the hour we expected with many people staying nearly two hours. Guests details were recorded together with their interests and many indicated their intention to return in future weeks. It was agreed with Keith from BOB that the format whereby we shared the space was beneficial to both groups, and therefore we will continue this in the coming weeks.
